“I am glad to be part of this talk show and share about “The Art of Hygiene” with the public. “The Art of Hygiene” is related to accommodating three basic needs of human, namely: how to maintain health; how to avoid diseases; and finally how to maintain hygiene to enable people feel comfortable. The concept of hygiene in a building is very dynamic as it follows the resident’s lifestyle and expectation. Currently, the concept of hygiene in modern building is a mix of creating a building that allows natural air circulation, optimum natural lighting, especially in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen areas. Technology is also
essential in creating a clean, healthy and comfortable room. Not to forget, the correct building equipment and fixtures aside from its function and look, should also qualify a certain hygiene standard.”
“For me, “The Art of Hygiene” refers to the ritual of removing dirt and stain from an object or body to maintain health. It is unique to every culture and race as each performs it differently. As part of improving the quality of life, hygiene is now beyond cleaning but also provides comfort. It is considered as part of a meditation ritual to reset our body after a full day of activities. Hygiene these days has a bigger role in modern spaces through the advancement in hygiene technology that gives extra value and comfort. For example, many buildings from offices, houses to resorts have implemented automation and lighting combination such as automatic toilet seat warmer, toilet bowl with LED light and multi head shower to give users an experience of comfort.”
“This time, we have also invited students to this talk show for they are the designers and architects of the future. We want to provide them with the opportunity to meet senior designers and architects, discuss with them and get inspired by the many beautiful bathroom designs. At the same time we also want to show them that innovation goes hand in hand with design in creating products and designs that not only are aesthetic but also functional and able to help provide a higher level of gracious living,” concluded Angel Yang.
